Join Crystal & Edward Rothe Jr on this journey of farm-fresh delights, and cultivate a shared love for wholesome living and sustainable agriculture.
The farm has been in Ed’s family since 1902. Ed left his job as a machinist in 2007 and started farming full time. He takes pride in raising 11 acres of broad leaf tobacco for cigar wrappers. You will always find him out in the fields on a tractor or hoen all summer long. Those who know Ed, knows he doesn’t stop!
The Garden of Eat’n CSA was started in 2007. Crystal has been growing the CSA and farm stand with Ed helping every step of the way. Crystal & Ed take pride in growing fruits vegetables for their local families. It is rewarding to start their crops from seed and have so many families enjoy the results, bringing their farm to your table.
Crystal loves to grow flowers and has them available at the farm stand as well. Every year you will notice a couple rows of flowers planted in the front field, not only for the honey bees, but for everyone to drive by and enjoy the beauty.
Crystal and Ed welcomed their son Tucker Edward Rothe in 2023. You will find Tucker out in the fields right along side of them. The Rothe family is thankful to be stewards of the land and to bring you the fresh farm to table experience.
